I helped design these cards

On the first day of Christmas...

...my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree.  This is a little Christmas ornament I just made and I am feeling inspired to do all 12 days of Christmas!  I will keep posting as I finish them:)  I cut out the pieces from patterned paper and glued them to a small wood cut out.  To finish, I put a nice gloss over top to seal everything.

New kitchen colors!

I am embracing the yellow laminate countertops that came with this old house.  By using grey paint on the walls and adding pops of yellow throughout, the countertops look great!

My first garden.

When I first started my garden all the plants seemed so small.  It was hard to believe that they would get so big.  I had the most success with cherry tomatoes, eggplant and peppers.  I grew everything organically.  There were a couple of groundhogs nearby that ate all my cabbage, lettuces, and broccoli.  Recently I caught two of them in traps and let them out in the Metroparks.  Now they have a nice new home away from all my vegetables!  Next year, I am going to double the size of the garden and put up better fencing to keep the critters out :)  I will post more pics of the garden soon.  The tomato plants must be 7 feet tall !
